Sharon Marie Blazer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sharon Marie Blazer, age 64, of Laurel, passed away on September 4, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Washington, D.C., she is the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Simpson. Sharon was retired as a Pharmacy Tech in the medical industry. She enjoyed strolling on the beach, gardening, listening to classic rock, eating crab cakes, and was an avid animal lover, but her most important treasure was her family and she loved her grandchildren dearly and not to mention she was the favorite aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Sharon infectious smile will be missed by everyone. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Richard Edward Blazer, Jr.; daughter, Felicia Wood and her husband George; sons, Frank A. Bozzi, Jr., Jason Blazer, and Cody Blazer and his wife Rebecca; grandchildren, Dalton Wood and his wife Elizabeth, Gia Wood, and Annabelle Blazer; brothers, Mike Simpson and his wife Kim, Jimmy Simpson and his wife Tami; sisters, Betty Moyles and her husband Tom, and Margie Sheriff and her husband Ray. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. A celebration of life will be held at 3PM on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, DE 19956. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2pm-3pm. Eddie Pusey will officiate. The family suggest that, if you would like to, in lieu of sending fresh cut flowers to send a plant for "Sharon's Memorial Garden". Donations may be made as well to the Alzheimers's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel.
