Sharon Bailey

February 14, 1957 - October 27, 2018

Sharon Bailey, age 61, of Laurel, passed away suddenly at her home on October 27, 2018. Born in Seaford, she is the daughter of Alton and Shirley Cooper of Laurel. Sharon was retired as a secretary with O.A. Newtons for 25 years. She was a member of Christ Evangelistic Church, and the Laurel Little League Auxiliary from 1997-2001. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her greatest treasure and she always put them first. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, William Bailey; her two sons, Coty Aaron Bailey and Kyle Lee Bailey both of Laurel; brothers, Alton Cooper, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Seaford, and Richard Cooper and his wife Wanda of Laurel; sister, Betty Passwaters and her husband Norman of Laurel; grandchildren, Tristan Bailey, Caleb Bailey, Benjamin Bailey, and step grandson, William Patterson, Jr.; nieces, Debbie, Christina, and Donna, and nephews Gary, Wayne, Scott, Joshua, and Patrick; sisters in law Dorothy Bailey of Laurel and Resa Dimes and husband Terry of Delmar. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Christ Evangelistic Church 9802 Camp Road, Laurel, Delaware 19956. Reverend Roland Tice will officiate. Interment will be held privately.
