Rufus "Harry" Hitch

October 2, 1957 - July 2, 2021

Rufus "Harry" Hitch, age 63, of Laurel, passed away on July 2, 2021 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. He was born on October 2, 1957 in Seaford, to the late Rufus "Jimmy" Hitch and Irene Bailey Hitch. He was retired as a grain and poultry farmer. Harry will be remembered for his great sense of humor and the kindness he showed to everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed by all. Harry is survived by his brothers; David Hitch, and Robert "Bert" Hitch; sister, Joanne Brown and her husband Wayne; brother in law, Robin Conner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who were very close to him and considered him to be more than an uncle. In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by his brother, Burton Hitch; sister, Mary Conner; and his friend and companion of several years Belinda Smith. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 9th Street, Laurel, Delaware 19956.
