Lorraine H. Payne, age 89, of Laurel, Delaware went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2018 at home. Lorraine was born in Barclay, MD a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Phillips. Lorraine was a tour guide for the Corbet Sharp Home of Winterthur in Odessa, De. She was the director of the Dining room at the Methodist Manor House in Seaford. Her greatest joy in life was the help she gave her husband in the Methodist ministry, from singing in the choir, organizing church activities and Sunday school ministry. She and her husband also enjoyed the United Methodist church trip to England. Being a wonderful homemaker, she is survived by her husband the Rev. Romie H. Payne, Jr. of Laurel. There sons; Michael Payne of Laurel, Phillip Payne (Barbara) of Laurel and Richard Payne (Danielle) of Baltimore. Six grandchildren also survive her. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 11:00am-12:00 pm. A service will begin at 12:00 pm. The Pastor Barbara Wilson will officiate.
