John Thomas Shannon III - 58 of Forsyth, Georgia formerly of Seaford DE. Passed away at Navicent Medical Center in Macon Georgia, after a 3-week battle with Coronavrius and long-term issues stemming from heart disease. Predeceased in death by his parents John Thomas Shannon Jr. and Geraldine (Magee) Shannon. John is survived by his siblings: Brother Brian Shannon and wife Patricia of Seaford, DE Sisters Colleen Shannon, and Paula Shannon of Seaford, DE and Maureen Shannon of Ocean View DE. Children: Julie Ann Shannon of Maryville, Tenn., Robin Almond and husband Jade of Knoxville Tenn. and their mother Lissa Porter of Arizona. John Thomas Shannon IV and grandson Bentley of Forsyth Georgia, Brian T. Shannon and grandson Richard Melvin of Woodside DE, Marshall Shannon and Fiancé Mercedes Hamilton and his daughters Zarina and Georgia of Kingman Arizona and their Mother Tammy Kay (Kirkendall) Shannon of Salisbury MD. Also many Nieces, Nephews, Great nieces, Great nephews, an Aunt and 2 uncles, and his little dog named Boy. John was a Mechanic in the HVAC field for many years. He was an avid hunter, car enthusiast; he loved fishing with his sons and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. He was a big guy with a big heart, a great friend to everyone. He always did his own thing. He never really settled down in one place. John was our Brother, Father and Friend and is with our Mom and Dad now. He will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of life will be held on at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Bethel Worship Center, 26648 Sussex Hwy., Seaford, Delaware 19973. A visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm. Pastor Joe Lecates will officiate. Donations may be made in John Shannon's memory to the Bethel Worship Center, 26648 Sussex Hwy. Seaford, Delaware 19973.
