Jane E. Foskey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jane E. Foskey, age 86, of Laurel passed away at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware. Born in Milford, she is the daughter of the late George Evans and Catherine James. Jane was retired from Dr. Marie Wolfgang's practice in Seaford as a Register Nurse. She was a member of St. .Philips Episcopal Church in Laurel, an original member of the couples club at St. Philips, Episcopal Church Women's, taught Sunday school for many years, enjoyed working as an election clerk during on election day, and playing cards with her friend in their card club. She even had a pen pal from England that became like family to her and her family. They enjoyed writing back and forth and even exchanged gifts during the holidays. Most importantly, Jane loved her family and always made time to attend all their events and always make sure they knew how proud she was of each of them. She enjoyed traveling to Lancaster and Williamsburg and going camping with her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Schweitzer, grandchildren, Beth Tyler and her husband Chris, Amanda Payne, and Jessica Payne; great grandchildren, Toby Tyler and Aubree Hastings, and her son-in-law, Brad Hastings. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Toby Foskey, daughter, Cathy Hastings; siblings, David Evans and Richard James; son-in-law, Alan Schweitzer, and her furry pets Chi Chi and Copper. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 10am-11am at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 600 S. Central Ave. Laurel, Delaware 19956. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 am at the church. Contributions may be made to St. Philips Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 600 S. Central Ave. Laurel, Delaware 19956 or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, P.O. Box 660843 Dallas, Texas 75266-0843. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel, Delaware.
