Howard Wayne Brown

Howard Wayne Brown, age 66 of Laurel passed away on January 23, 2022 at Tidal Health Nanticoke of Seaford. He was born on May 19, 1955 in Seaford, DE to the late Howard Brown and Edna White Sullivan. He was a retired courier and pharmaceutical deliverer. Wayne will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his love of life. He is known to his grandkids as “Big Bear” and to his friends as “Mr. B.” He will be greatly missed by all. Wayne is survived by his wife Joanne of 48 years and his children Douglas Brown and his wife Camie, Jimmy Brown, and Crystal Ellison and her husband Andrew. He is also survived by his grandchildren Andrew, Shea, Nick, Shelby, Riley, Beca, Kortney, Erika, and Joelle; along with several nieces and nephews. Wayne is survived by his brother Keith Brown and sister Janice Brown and brother-in-laws Robert Hitch and Robin Conner. In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his grandson Brett Douglas Brown and brother-in-laws David Hitch, Harry Hitch, Burton Hitch, and sister-in-law Mary Conner. Wayne will always hold a special place in our hearts. A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Service will be private.
