Evelyn Sirman Collins Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Evelyn (Sirman) Collins of Laurel, passed away January 5, 2019 at the Manor House in Seaford. She was 94. Born March 22, 1924, she was a twin daughter of the late Harry and Mollie Sirman of Laurel. Evelyn was a Floor Lady for Laurel Manufacturing in Laurel for over 40 years. Upon retiring, she volunteered at the Good Samaritan Shop for over 20 years. Evelyn was a lifelong member of Shiloh Community Church, where she taught children’s Sunday School and was a past board member. She was a true and faithful witness and servant to the Lord. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading her Bible. She will be missed by her family, church family, friends and neighbors at Laurel Commons Housing Development where she resided for over 15 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Collins in 1990, her sister, Ruth Timmons Wilkerson in 1977 and her twin sister Madelyn Watson in 2006. Evelyn was a very special aunt who is survived by several nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thank you and deep appreciation to everyone at the Manor House who gave her such kind and wonderful care . A special thanks to Evon, her faithful church friend who visited her weekly. Services will be on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Shiloh Community Church, Laurel. Pastor Mark Erskine will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Laurel Odd Fellows Cemetery.
