Blaine Joseph Wilson

October 11, 1959 - February 15, 2020

Blaine Joseph Wilson, 60, of Bethel, DE passed away at his home on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Born in Elkton, MD on October 11, 1959, he was the son of George H. Wilson of Elkton and the late Edith Reynolds Wilson. As a young boy in high school, Blaine began working with his father in the family business, Domestic Plumbing. In later years, he moved to Laurel, DE and in 2016 he moved to Bethel, DE. While living in Sussex County, he pursued a career as a sheet metal worker and at the time of his passing was working with Miller Fabrication of Bridgeville. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, the former Tara Calloway, whom he married on November 30, 1990; his father – George H. Wilson, Elkton; 3 brothers – Jim (Judy) Wilson, Jackson, MI; Zane Wilson, NY, NY; Neil ( Ling ) Wilson, Elkton, MD; a sister –Mary ( Jim ) Barrow, North East, MD; his mother-in-law – Margaret Calloway; several nieces & nephews also survive, as well as, his beloved pet cats - Jasper ,Smokey, Pretty Girl, Leo, Bandit & Toby. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a sister – Amy Schnatz. Memorial Services will be held at Sailor’s Bethel United Methodist Church, Bethel, on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Bill Nack will officiate. Friends & relatives may call at the church on Saturday, March 14 th, after 10:30 A.M.Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel. Memorial contributions, in Blaine’s memory, may be made to the DE SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947 or to the Salisbury Zoological Park, P.O. Box 2979, Salisbury, MD 21802 – 2979.
