    Angela Jean Coleman, 83, of Newark, DE, formerly of Laurel, DE, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Angela was born in Philadelphia , PA to Rosario (George) and Joanna Moffa. She was preceded in death by her husband Anderson (Al) Coleman, and her parents. Angela is survived by her brothers, Joseph Moffa, and Placido Moffa (Kathy); her four children; Cecilia Pentoney (James), Stephany Sweeten (Michael), Diane Pentoney (Randall), Stephen Shirey (Mary Pat). Her grandchildren; Benjamin Pentoney (Marcy), Jonathan Pentoney (Shelby),and Emily Pentoney; Salina Sweeten, Eric Sweeten, and River Rodiquez; Jeremy Pentoney (Fallon), Seth Pentoney (Erica), and Rachel Pentoney; Payton Pope (Richard), Rian Shirey, Brennan Shirey, and Anderson Shirey; and her 15 great grandchildren: Quinn and Wyatt Pentoney, Aidan Bell, Addison, Ariana, and Bryn Pentoney, Lincoln Lonas; Roland and Lillith Sperati; Fara, Cullen, and Weylen Pentoney; Elliana, Finley, and Harlow Pentoney. Her nieces Kathleen West (Rich), Andrea Haney (Bob), and nephew Michael Moffa (Jeanne), and several great nieces and nephew. Angela was a homemaker for 20 years raising her children. She also went back to school to receive her C.N.A. working at hospitals and nursing homes. She also worked at White Flint Drug and Alcohol Counseling Center in Salisbury, MD as a peer to peer counselor. Her last job and most favorite was working as a private duty home health aide. She was active in A.A. for over 30 years and was devoted to the numerous women she sponsored. She was in Leadership at her local A.A. group as well as a Delegate to the National A.A. Convention. Angela loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Her most favored dishes were her Lasagna, and New York Style Cheesecake. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Laurel Wesleyan Church, Laurel, DE on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Visitation from 10am to 11am. Funeral service at 11am. Burial will be private. Due to COVID-19 restrictions social distancing and masks will be required. Flowers can be given and/or donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in her memory. www.stjude.org
